Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra have been over the moon since they welcomed their first child, a baby girl, in July this year. They shared her first glimpse last month, revealing that they have named
her Saraayah. Now, in a recent interview with Vogue India, the actress revealed that she filmed for seven months during her pregnancy. She also recalled that before shooting any emotionally intense scenes, she would whisper to her baby that she was only acting, trying to create the calm she wanted for her little one.
Kiara Advani Recalls Whispering To Her Baby Before Filming Emotional Scenes
While speaking with Vogue India, Kiara said that she filmed for 7 months during her pregnancy, and only her director and producer knew. Before filming emotional scenes, she would head into the narrow bathroom of her vanity van, place a hand on her baby bump and whisper, “Mama is only acting, okay? This isn’t real.” She also called Sidharth Malhotra an ‘incredibly hands-on father’, and said that thanks to him, her mother, and her team, she finished filming Toxic, which is set to release in March 2026.
Meanwhile, Kiara Advani also recalled that when she was 18, she would tell her acting coach she wanted to be a working actor and a mother someday. Back then, the coach laughed it off. “But look at me now. I’ve never been more ambitious. Motherhood expands you. The fire within you becomes more focused,” she said.
In other news, Kiara Advani’s first look from Yash starrer Toxic was released a few days ago. It showed her character Nadia dressed in a black off-the-shoulder gown with a thigh-high slit. She was seen standing in the spotlight on a dance floor, with tears streaming down her face. Toxic marks Kiara’s first film since she embraced motherhood earlier this year.
On Monday, Kiara Advani took to her Instagram stories to respond to her fans’ love for the first look poster of Toxic. She wrote, “A role that demanded more from me – physically, mentally, emotionally and felt nothing short of transformative. My toughest one yet. Months of hard work. One fearless leap. To see this first look receive so much love means everything. Grateful beyond words.”
