Star Lucknow Super Giants bowler Digvesh Rathi brought back his viral notebook celebration in the ongoing Delhi Premier League, as he celebrated the dismissal of Punjab Kings’ Priyansh Arya in a game between
Outer Delhi Warriorz and Purani Dilli 6.
The moment came off the first delivery of the 10th over, with Rathi bowling a back-of-a-length ball outside off that Arya tried to smash straight down the ground. But the latter couldn’t make a clean connection and was caught at long-on.
As Rohan Rathi completed the catch, Digvesh ran towards Arya and broke into his trademark notebook celebration. Arya was dismissed for 30 off 21 deliveries, having smacked two fours and a six.

Meanwhile, Digvesh was sanctioned for a Code of Conduct breach under Article 2.5 for giving the send-off to Arya, for which he was penalised 30% of his match fee and accumulated two demerit points.
Yajas Sharma led the scoring for the Warriorz with a blistering 86 off 36 deliveries, hitting 10 fours and five sixes. Akshay Saini provided strong support with an unbeaten 49 off 23 balls, while Harsh Tyagi added a quickfire 32 off 15.
The Warriorz posted a mammoth 219/5 in their 20 overs.
Chasing 220, Purani Dilli 6 got off to a flying start, with openers Samarth Seth and Aryan Gaur adding 104 runs for the first wicket to raise hopes of a successful chase.
Gaur led the charge with a brilliant 65 off 37 deliveries, while Seth chipped in with 42 off 24 balls. But the Warriors staged a strong comeback after breaking the opening stand.
Aman Chaudhary played a pivotal role in turning the match in the Warriors’ favour, claiming three wickets in his first three overs before finishing with brilliant figures of 4/38 from his four overs.
The wickets triggered a mini-collapse and put Purani Dilli 6 under pressure.
