This comes days after Hema Malini was trolled on social media after a video of the actress-turned-politician from a sports event in Mathura surfaced online. In the viral clip, the BJP MP was seen presenting medals at an MP Sports Competition. However, the video drew sharp criticism after netizens accused Hema of not smiling and maintaining a ‘cold expression’.
About BMC Polls
Several other actors were also seen stepping out to cast their vote. Among others, Twinkle Khanna, John Abraham, Divya Dutta, Tamannaah Bhatia and Kiran Rao were also spotted at different polling booths.
After casting his vote, Akshay Kumar also spoke to the media outside and urged Mumbaikars to come out and vote. “Today is the BMC election, and, as Mumbaikars, this is the day when we have the remote control. Therefore, all the people of Mumbai must come out and vote, rather than complaining later about things not being in good shape. Everyone should vote to elect the right people. If you want to be the real hero of Mumbai, then instead of dialogues, you should come and vote,” he said, as quoted by PTI.
