Darcy and Theo, a father-son duo and popular content creators, are well known for their love of motorcycles, especially Royal Enfield. While visiting Goa recently, they had an unexpected encounter with
Siddhartha Lal, the managing director of Royal Enfield, in the Anjuna area. The meeting was surprising because Lal was the first to recognise them while they were discussing how to get an auto rickshaw. He mentioned that he is a fan of their content, which left both Darcy and Theo thrilled.
During their conversation, the duo asked Lal for advice on which motorcycle to ride around Goa. Lal suggested the Himalayan, as it has comfortable suspension, which is ideal for Goa’s roads, while adding that other areas have rough roads. Darcy later admitted he was stunned by the meeting and hardly believed they had spoken to one of India’s top business leaders.

The clip opened with Siddhartha Lal taking his bike on the side of the road to meet Darcy and Theo. He said, “Hello, how are you guys? I’m Sid. Love your guys’ work.” After greeting each other, Darcy asked, “We’re going to pick up the Bear 650s later. Which do you prefer?”
Sid Lal said, “For Goa, because I live here now part time, the Himalayan is better, because the suspension is very plush. Out of this area, the roads are just bad.”
After their conversation, Darcy told his viewers, “That’s the head of Royal Enfield, quite the person to bump into as soon as we get here.”
Taking to Instagram, Darcy and Theo wrote, “The Legendary Sid Lal. When we arrived in Anjuna, we went for a walk to get some cash and we bumped into the Chairman of Royal Enfield @sidlal casually riding his new Himalayan 450 with a nice fruity exhaust! What a cool guy and a legend known for rebuilding the RE Brand.”

Reacting to the post, a user wrote, “This is how a CEO of an iconic motorcycle brand should be.”
Another shared, “What are the odds of SidLal calling you out while he’s riding around on a Himalayan?”
“Dear auto manufacturers, take notes, this is how you run a lifestyle brand, how you run a motorcycle company. I’m pretty sure other executives at other firms do frequent rides, but I wonder if they’re as devoted as him,” a comment read.
An individual stated, “This is unbelievable, how did you recognise him through that helmet and gear, is he a frequent visitor to these Goa rides? Man, imagine you’re walking through a random street and then a guy who runs the company of your bikes shows up and recognises you, stops you and has a chat, getting recognised is a huge compliment, isn’t it, must be.”

After some thought that Darcy and Theo’s meeting with Siddhartha Lal was planned, the duo clarified the situation. They explained that the meeting was completely real and not staged in any way. They shared that their content has always been genuine and natural. The reason they film such moments is to capture these spontaneous experiences.
