Actor Salman Khan, who is eyeing the release of his upcoming war drama Battle of Galwan, attended the Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) match in Surat on Friday evening. At the event, Salman Khan spoke
about the recent trolling over his ‘romantic’ glance in the film’s teaser.
Salman was facing public scrutiny following the teaser of Battle of Galwan. He was trolled for a supposed romantic glance on the battlefield. Reacting to the severe trolling, Salman said, “Ab kisi ko ye samajh mein aata hai ki ye romantic look hai, lekin Colonel hoon bhaiya. To ye, Colonel ka look hai jo ki samajhta hai ki apne team walon ko, apne jawano ko kaisa hosla de. Vaise hi look main inko bhi de sakta hoon (growls) uss look ka koi matlab hai nahi. Us look ka koi matlab hai nahi. (Now, some people think this is a romantic look, but I’m a Colonel, brother. So, this is the look of a Colonel who understands how to motivate and give hope to his team and soldiers. I can also give them that kind of look (growls), but it has no meaning. It would make no sense.)”
Salman Khan’s Upcoming Project
Salman Khan is currently busy with Battle of Galwan, directed by Apoorva Lakhia. Produced under the banner of Salman Khan Films, the movie also stars Chitrangada Singh in a pivotal role and is based on real-life events. Battle of Galwan is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 17.
A few days ago, the filmmakers of Battle of Galwan released the music video for Maatrubhoomi, which is the first song on the film’s album. Salman Khan plays an Indian Army officer in the song opposite actress Chitrangada Singh; their on-screen duo is surprisingly natural and instantly likeable. The visuals, which depict a family with two small children, smoothly transition from cozy moments in their house to stark, moving views of the Galwan battlefield.
As per a source informed Bollywood Hungama, Salman Khan and the rest of the team are now finishing the patchwork of the film. “Salman Khan, director Apoorva Lakhia, and the team are doing patchwork for the film. At the same time, they’re also adding a few new scenes, some of which feature action. It’s a 15-day schedule,” the source shared.
