75-year-old Amrit Kaur’s master push-ups have left the internet inspired and also slightly pink in the face at their own excuses for not going to the gym.
Kaur is winning hearts online after a video showed
her confidently doing push-ups — something she picked up and built over just a few weeks. On her Instagram profile, @getfitwithdadi, Kaur describes herself as “strong at 75, stronger every day”.
Her Instagram is full of clips of her doing rowing, weighted squats and dumbbell presses, all in her simple salwar-kurta, with her grey hair tied up in a small bun. The clip, shared on Instagram and X, has drawn widespread attention, with viewers praising both her consistency and determination.
What makes the clip stand out is not just the end result, but the journey. It begins with simpler, assisted movements, then moves to knee push-ups, and eventually to full push-ups, showing a clear progression. When asked how long it took, she said it took about 12 weeks, going from basics to doing proper push-ups at 75.

The reactions online have been a mix of admiration and self-reflection. “To say ‘I am inspired’ is an understatement,” one user wrote, while another said, “Hatssss off dadi.” Some comments captured the surprise more directly: “Dayum dadi,” one user wrote, while another added, “Wow… she doesn’t need any inspiration, she’s an inspiration.” Infact, Rannvijay Singha also commented on her post, “Omg!! Too Good.”
Others turned it into a personal reality check. “Now what’s your excuse?” one comment read, followed by another saying, “I have no excuses anymore.” One user summed it up simply: “Even I can’t do this yet, Daadi.” What makes the clip stick is how simple the takeaway feels, that progress, even at 75, is still very much possible.
