Good news for Bruno Mars fans! After nearly a decade, the singer is finally set to release a new solo album. On Thursday morning, Bruno took to social media to announce that his upcoming album, The Romantic,
will be released on February 27. Adding to the excitement, he also revealed that new music from the album will drop this Friday, January 9.
Sharing the cover art of the album, Bruno wrote, “New music this Friday. The Romantic coming at 2.27.” Following the massive success of his critically acclaimed 2016 album 24K Magic, The Romantic will mark the pop icon’s fourth solo studio album.
This announcement comes after the singer posted on social media that his “album is done,” promising that we will hear new music from him this Friday, January 9.

As expected, Bruno Mars’ fans couldn’t stop themselves from flocking to the comments section of the post and expressing their excitement for the upcoming album.

His last solo album, 24K Magic, was released in November 2016 and debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200. The album produced hit singles such as 24K Magic, That’s What I Like, and Finesse (Remix) featuring Cardi B. The project enjoyed massive success, with its tracks earning a combined seven Grammy Awards.
Following 24K Magic, Mars teamed up with several international artists on successful singles, including Lady Gaga, Sexyy Red, and Rose.
He collaborated with Lady Gaga on Die With a Smile, one of the biggest singles of the year. The track topped the Billboard Hot 100 for five non-consecutive weeks and became the fastest song to reach one billion streams on Spotify. Mars also released Fat Juicy & Wet with rapper Sexyy Red and continued to showcase his collaborative range with standout tracks such as Uptown Funk with Mark Ronson, Nothin’ on You by B.o.B, Billionaire by Travie McCoy, and APT with Rose, among others.
In 2021, Bruno Mars also teamed up with Anderson .Paak to form the supergroup Silk Sonic. The duo later released their studio album, An Evening with Silk Sonic, which featured hit tracks such as Leave the Door Open and Skate. The project went on to earn multiple Grammy Awards, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best R&B Performance, and Best R&B Song.
