The ongoing protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar is now getting support from several celebrities. Vedang Raina, who was recently seen in Main Vaapas Aaunga, has taken to his Instagram and shared a story backing
the students of the nation. The actor, while sharing a video from the protest site, penned a heartfelt note for those demanding answers and questioning those in power.
Vedang Raina, while sharing the video, wrote, “I’m so proud to be part of a generation that cares, that isn’t afraid to ask questions, stand up for what it believes in and show up when it matters the most. I’m just so proud. This is the same Gen-Z that gets accused of only being chronically online. Just look at this.”
Rajkummar Rao Lends Support
On Tuesday morning, Rajkummar took to his Instagram and wrote, “When young people feel unheard, it is a reminder that society must listen. Every voice deserves to be heard with dignity, fairness, and respect.”
He also appealed for calm, saying, “Peace must remain our greatest strength. Violence, from any side, only deepens wounds and takes us further away from meaningful solutions. This is a moment for dialogue and compassion.”
The Stree actor urged both students and the authorities to engage constructively instead of escalating tensions. “Let students express themselves responsibly. Let authorities respond with empathy, openness, and a genuine willingness to listen. Real and lasting change is built through conversation, not confrontation. That is what is needed now, more than ever,” he wrote, adding, “All of us, collectively, want one thing: growth for our nation, and the foundation for that growth is fair education. Jai Hind.”

Several celebrities have publicly backed the CJP-led student protest, with many using social media to express solidarity. Actors including Diljit Dosanjh, Aamir Khan’s nephew Imran Khan, Sonu Sood, Vir Das, Dia Mirza, Soha Ali Khan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Rohit Saraf, Aayush Sharma, Prakash Raj, Riteish and Genelia Deshmukh, Bhumi Pednekar, Huma Qureshi, Preity Zinta, Nandita Das, Shabana Azmi, and rapper Hanumankind have voiced support for the students’ demands, calling for greater transparency in the examination system, accountability over the alleged irregularities, and a peaceful resolution to the ongoing protests.
