After earlier stints on Bigg Boss OTT and Bigg Boss 15, actor Raqesh Bapat is set to enter Bigg Boss Marathi 6 – marking his return to the reality show format.
The Marathi edition of the reality show returns
with host Riteish Deshmukh for a sixth season. The format of the show remains unchanged – a group of contestants living together under constant monitoring, completing tasks and facing weekly eliminations. With the launch date approaching, the focus has shifted to who is entering the house.
Bapat is among the first names to be confirmed exclusively by Times Entertainment.
Raqesh Bapat’s Bigg Boss History
Bapat previously appeared on Bigg Boss OTT in 2021 and later entered Bigg Boss 15 in Hindi as a wildcard contestant. His time in the Hindi season ended early after he exited the show citing a medical emergency.
This time, the entry is different. The actor is set to join the Marathi version from the start, effectively returning to complete what fans have called his “unfinished” Bigg Boss run.
Bapat is currently seen in the Marathi television series Navri Mile Hitlerla, where he plays Abhiram Jahagirdar. He is known across both Hindi and Marathi entertainment spaces, which gives him visibility across a wider audience base than many first-time contestants.
Other Names in the Mix for Bigg Boss Marathi 6
Times Entertainment report also mentions several other familiar names that will be part of the season. These include social media creator Karan Sonawane, also known as Focused Indian, and actors and performers such as Sagar Karande, Sonali Raut, Prajakta Shukre, Sanket Pathak, Anushree Mane, Deepali Sayyed, Radha Mumbaikar and Rasika Jamsudkar.
The final list is yet to be officially announced by the makers.
What to Expect This Season
The makers have indicated that the new season will include tasks and game formats that have not been used in earlier editions. The show will run over roughly 100 days, with episodes airing nightly at 8 pm on Colors Marathi and Jio Hotstar.
For now, the focus remains on the contestants entering the house – and on how familiar faces like Raqesh Bapat will navigate a format they already know well. The rest, as always with Bigg Boss, will unfold inside the house.
