With The Odyssey finally making its way to theatres, Tom Holland took a moment to reflect on his journey with Christopher Nolan’s epic. The actor shared a heartfelt note expressing gratitude for being
part of the ambitious project, describing the experience as one of the most fulfilling of his career. He also thanked Nolan, along with the film’s cast and crew, for what he called the “opportunity of a lifetime.” In the film, Holland portrays Telemachus, the son of Odysseus and Penelope, and the young prince of Ithaca who embarks on a quest to uncover the fate of his long-lost father.
On July 17, Tom Holland took to Instagram and shared a heartfelt note about his film, The Odyssey. He looked back on his journey with the film, describing it as one of the most enriching experiences of his career. Holland reflected on the creative challenges the project presented and said working on Christopher Nolan’s epic had been both professionally rewarding and deeply meaningful on a personal level.
He wrote, “There are movies where you are challenged and fulfilled creatively and there are jobs where you meet wonderful people. The Odyssey is BOTH. Being a part of this epic adventure has been one of the greatest pleasures of my career. I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience and the lessons I’ve learnt.”
Tom further wrote, “Thank you to our amazing crew for going the distance, thank you to our wonderful cast for shepherding me through this whirlwind and thank you to Chris and Emma for your guidance and giving me the opportunity of a lifetime. Meanwhile, The Odyssey registered a strong opening at the Indian box office. According to Sacnilk, the film collected Rs 17.40 crore net on Day 1, with its gross earnings touching Rs 20.76 crore nationwide. Released globally on July 17, The Odyssey is headlined by Matt Damon as Odysseus and boasts a star-studded cast that includes Tom Holland, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, and several others in key roles.
