Actress Mona Singh is grateful for all the love Border 2 has been receiving since its release. The war drama, directed by Anurag Singh, hit theatres on Friday, January 23, and opened to overwhelmingly
positive reviews from moviegoers. People who have watched the film have praised its gripping narrative, high-octane sequences, and the impressive performances of the lead cast. On her Instagram account on Saturday, January 24, the 44-year-old shared some behind-the-scenes moments from the sets, as well as Border 2’s screening in Mumbai. She posed with many of her co-stars, including Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan, at the recent event.

Mona’s post began with a monochrome photo of herself with Sunny, who plays her on-screen husband in the film. The next slide featured a picture of the actress with Guneet Sandhu, who plays her son in the movie. Another still showed her posing beside Diljit Dosanjh. A few other pictures in the carousel featured some candid moments from her latest release.

For the screening of Border 2, Mona chose an elegant traditional attire. She wore a red kurta set paired with a contrasting green, heavily embroidered dupatta. She left her hair open and opted for minimal accessories. At the event, she posed with the film’s lead cast and director. In the pictures, all of them were seen flaunting bright smiles for the camera.
She ended the carousel with Border 2’s clapboard in her hand, which said, “It’s A Wrap.” The date mentioned on it was July 7, 2025. In the caption of her post, Mona thanked the audience for showering the film with love. She wrote, “Thank u for all the love. Border 2 now in theatres near u #jan2026 #border2 #love.”

Border 2 earned a whopping Rs 30 crore on its opening day, as per Sacnilk. With this, the film, which also stars Ahan Shetty, Sonam Bajwa, Anya Singh, and Medha Rana, has even surpassed Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar. The Aditya Dhar directorial, which released in December 2025, had earned Rs 28 crore on its opening day.
What’s Next For Mona Singh?
Besides Border 2, Mona Singh was also seen in the spy-action comedy Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos, which was released in theatres on January 16. After both films, she will be next seen in Netflix’s Kohrra season 2. The series, featuring Barun Sobti, will be released on February 11.
