Actor Anupam Kher is currently shooting in Delhi for the film Khosla Ka Ghosla 2, and for someone who lives in Mumbai, shooting in Delhi with the decreasing temperature every day can definitely be a challenge.
So how is it going for Kher? He revealed it himself. Speaking about his early days in Kashmir and Shimla as a kid, Anupam Kher shared that Delhi winters are not exactly a challenge for him.
Speaking to HT, Anupam shared, “Maine isse zyada khatarnak sardiyon mein shooting ki hai,” and continued, “I am from Shimla and Kashmir, so I have seen more intense cold. Yes, there was an element of surprise initially because you don’t expect Delhi to be so cold.”
Speaking about how he feels that the life we are living is still one of privilege, the actor added, “I see a soldier on Siachen top and I feel we are living a much privileged life,” and further added, “You can’t stop work just because it is cold!”
While one can deal with winter by wearing multiple layers, heaters, etc., dealing with Delhi traffic is where the real challenge begins. Speaking about the same, he shared, “Our hotel is in Gurugram, close to Delhi, and every location is at least one-and-a-half hours away. Sometimes the shooting is in Sohna, sometimes in Faridabad. What is keeping us together is the humour between the actors and also between the characters.”
Anupam Kher Begins Shoot for His 550th Film Khosla Ka Ghosla 2
Anupam Kher decided to take a moment to reflect on his challenging yet fulfilling cinematic journey on the first day of shooting his 550th film, Khosla Ka Ghosla 2. Kher shared a remark by an international director during the Cannes Film Festival last year.
“So you are the MARATHON MAN of Indian Cinema!!” said an international director at the #CannesFilmFestival last year when Kher told him the number of films he has acted in, he recalled.
Looking back at the day when he first arrived in Mumbai in 1981 with just a heart full of dreams, Kher wrote on his Instagram, “So today, as I start my 550th film #KhoslaKaGhosla2, my heart is filled with GRATITUDE and THANKFULNESS! When I landed in #Mumbai, the city of dreams, on the 3rd June 1981, I never had dreamt that I would reach this LANDMARK of 550 films.”
Expressing his gratitude, he shared, “But my survival for all these years has only been possible because of the support I got from all my producers, directors, co-actors, technicians, and above all YOU, my AUDIENCES! Without your support, reaching this landmark would never have been possible! So a big heartfelt THANK YOU! Jai Ho! Jai Hind! Om Namah Shivay!”
