Fans of Keerthy Suresh are in for a treat as the Tamil crime-comedy Revolver Rita gears up for its OTT premiere later this month. After making its theatrical debut on November 28, 2025, the quirky film
is now ready to reach a wider audience, with confirmed details of its online release.
Netflix took to their Instagram handle and made the announcement. “Rita becomes Revolver Rita if you mess with her family. Watch Revolver Rita on Netflix out 26 December in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.” Fans also reacted with fire emojis. The film was originally released on November 28.

Keerthy Suresh Opens Up About Revolver Rita
Recently, the actress was seen discussing the genre of the film. Keerthy clarified that Revolver Rita should not be mistaken for a high-intensity, violent drama. Times Now reported Keerthy Suresh talking about the film at the pre-release event, “Revolver Rita is a dark comedy. Someone asked me why so many characters have guns in a comedy film. This is a comedy action film, not a violent action film. It is something you can comfortably watch and enjoy with your family.”
All about the film
The film has triggered huge excitement among fans and film buffs ever since the makers released the film’s title teaser some months ago.
In the title teaser, thugs snatch Keerthy Suresh’s handbag while she is busy buying vegetables from a push cart. The bag snatchers take the bag to the hideout only to find a revolver, a blood stained butcher’s knife and a bomb in it. Minutes later, Keerthy Suresh arrives at the snatchers’ hideout and demands her bag back with the weapons in them.
The rattled criminals ask her if she is a RAW agent, an underworld don or a cop. Keerthy refuses to give any of them a clear answer. Before long, she gets a call from Radhika Sarathkumar, who plays her mother in the film, asking her where the tomatoes were as she is in the process of cooking. Keerthy replies ‘Keep the stove on sim and I am on my way.”
Apart from Keerthy Suresh and Radikaa Sarathkumar, the film also features actors Sunil, Ajay Ghosh, Redin Kingsley, Super Subbarayan and John Vijay among others.
