How far would you really go for a cup of chai? Turns out, some people are willing to go much farther than the rest of us can even imagine. In a video that has left the internet in stitches, a man was seen
brewing tea using the most unexpected appliance imaginable. No gas stove, no kettle, no cooker, not even a humble brazier. Instead, he showed that if you don’t have any of the above, you can use an iron. Yes, the same one used to press clothes.
In the clip, the man took “jugaad” to a whole new level. He placed an iron, which appeared to be plugged into an electric socket, with its hot plate facing upward on a steel bowl. Once it heated up, he carefully placed a smaller bowl filled with water on top. As the water started boiling, he added a spoonful of tea leaves.
“Sabas Beta New Jugaad,” He Wrote In Caption
He then poured in some milk and added one spoon of sugar after the water had turned into tea liquor. After letting the mixture boil for a bit, the man was seen happily enjoying the tea with biscuits while trying to study. That said, the video appeared to be edited, with noticeable cuts; it cannot be confirmed or verified whether he actually made the tea using the iron. The clip, shared with the caption, “Sabas beta new jugaad”, is for comedic purposes.
Internet Can’t Stop Laughing Over His “Jugaad”
Once the video caught people’s attention online, they couldn’t help but laugh at the “jugaad”. One user said, “Hostel wale kuch bhi kar sakte hai.”
Someone else quipped, “Ab gas khatam hoga ghar mai to aise hi chai banayenge hum.”
“Technologiya zabardast,” another user joked.
A different individual jokingly mentioned, “Ye jugaad India se bahar nahi jana chahiye.”
“Isne ye sabit kiya hai chai lovers k liye ki chai kahi par bh ban sakti hai,” another person commented.
Meanwhile, some pointed out the multiple cuts in his video and the dangers of showing such stunts on social media. “Edit, multiple cuts,” mentioned one user, whereas another said, “Imagine touching that bowl while the electric switch is still on.”
Someone emphasised, “It will catch fire at any moment.”
Since the clip was shared on Instagram, it has garnered over 33.5 million views.
