Badshah’s Tateeree Controversy
Meanwhile, Badshah was recently making headlines for the controversy surrounding his track Tateeree. The song sparked widespread criticism for allegedly vulgar lyrics, offensive gestures and visuals featuring girls in school uniforms. Following the backlash, the original video was taken down.
The rapper later released a revised version of the track titled Tateeree Phir Se, stating that the portions considered offensive had been removed. “Over the past few weeks, we have listened to concerns raised by government officials, the women’s commission, social workers and others regarding our song ‘Tateeree’. Based on that, we have made necessary changes and removed any part that was considered objectionable,” he wrote on Instagram.
