Late actor Dharmendra’s final film ‘Ikkis’ is set to release in theatres in two weeks, on New Year 2026. While the first trailer of the film was unveiled in October, the makers dropped the final trailer today.
Dharmendra’s son and actor Sunny Deol shared an emotional note as he shared the trailer of Ikkis, which marks his late father’s final on-screen appearance. The film also stars Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat, Simar Bhatia and others. Riteish Deshmukh also praised the ‘incredible’ final trailer of Ikkis, and wrote that he got goosebumps watching Dharam ji in the trailer.
Sunny Deol Shares Trailer Of Dharmendra’s Last Film Ikkis
On Friday, Sunny Deol took to his Instagram to share the final trailer of Ikkis, starring Dharmendra (in his posthumous film appearance), Agastya Nanda, Jaideep Ahlawat and others. In his emotional caption, Sunny Deol expressed his love for his late father, and wrote, “Love you papa (red heart emojis) Witness the true story of the youngest Param Vir Chakra awardee, a hero who was only 21 and became eternal – Second Lt. Riteish Deskhmukh Praises Ikkis Final Trailer
Meanwhile, Riteish Deshmukh also took to X (formerly Twitter) to praise the final trailer of Ikkis. He wrote, “Incredible trailer !!!!! Karan Johar shared the trailer on his Instagram stories, and cheered for Agastya. He also welcomed Akshay Kumar’s niece Simar Bhatia to the movies. “SOLID!!!! Rooting for you Aggy!!!! Welcome to the movies @simarbhatia18…you’re gorgeous!!!” he wrote.
About Ikkis
While Agastya portrays Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal in Ikkis, Simar Bhatia will be seen as Kiran. This film marks late actor Dharmendra’s posthumous film appearance, and he plays Brigadier ML Khetarpal (Retd.), Arun Khetarpal’s father in the movie. The cast also includes Jaideep Ahlawat, Shree Bishnoi, Suhasini Mulay, Sikander Kher, Rahul Dev, Vivaan Shah, and others.
Ikkis is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal and focuses on the Battle of Basantar during the 1971 India-Pakistan War. The film’s title marks the age at which he attained martyrdom.
While Ikkis was earlier set to release on December 25, it was postponed, and will now hit the theatres on January 1, 2026.
