A woman has shared a simple yet emotional way her parents stay connected with her after she moved out of her home. What started as a safety setup has become a daily habit of warmth.
Instead of calling every
time, her parents now use a CCTV camera at home to check on her, making it a routine they follow every day.
Parents Turn Camera Into Connection
The woman posted a clip showing her parents standing in front of the CCTV camera and waving at her. They look straight into the lens, knowing she will see them from far away.
In one moment, her mother is seen making hand gestures, asking if she has eaten. It is a small act, but one that reflects the same care parents show, no matter how far their children live.
She captioned the post, “Installing a CCTV camera at home was the best decision,” highlighting how something meant for security became a way to stay emotionally close.
Daughter Explains The Routine
As more people reacted to the video, the woman shared more details in the comments. She explained that she works night shifts, which makes it difficult to stay in touch all the time.
Addressing some comments, she wrote, “So people commenting ‘VC kar lete’, ‘smartphone nahi hai kya’, ‘views ke liye kiya hai’ – let me tell you, I do night shift. I call them every day twice and VC 1-2 times a week because they’re comfortable on calls. Yes, they have smartphones and know how to use them well.”
She also made it clear that the video was not posted for attention. “About viral – my intention was never that. I didn’t post my mom and dad for views or money. It was just a random morning post, and people related to it because it’s simple, pure and raw,” she added.
Talking about how the camera became part of their routine, she wrote, “This technology is new for them, so when I get camera notifications, I just ask ‘kya kar rahe ho’ or ‘kahan ja rahe ho’ – they get excited and wave back and call me immediately ki dekha tune hume? So please don’t spread negativity without knowing the backstory.”
Internet Reacts With Emotion
The video received strong reactions from people online, many of whom found it relatable and touching.
A user joked, “CCTVs are getting out of stock after this reel.” Another wrote, “make sure that they can see you as much as you can see them, because they want it more than you.”
Some users also shared emotional responses. “Yrrr I’m not crying… Sach me,” a person commented. Another added, “This is heart-warming, technology helps sometimes.”
