Star Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan, who has scored two half-centuries for India in the five matches of the T20 World Cup 2026, jumped three places on Wednesday (February 25) to become the new
world No. 5 T20I batter. The 27-year-old cricketer from Patna has 742 rating points to his credit. Pakistan’s opening batter Sahibzada Farhan, who leads the run scorers list in the T20 World Cup 2026, has also jumped two places to take the 3rd position in the list of T20I batters.
India’s Abhishek Sharma has only managed to score 15 runs in four matches of the T20 World Cup 2026, but despite that, he has managed to retain his No. 1 position. His rating points, however, have now dropped to 877.
Among other gainers in the T20I batters’ rankings are South Africa’s Dewald Brevis. The young right-handed batter jumped 10 places to become the new world No. 9 T20I batter.
England’s T20I captain Harry Brook scored 100 runs from 51 balls in the Super 8s match against Pakistan on Tuesday. Brook’s maiden T20I century helped him jump 10 places and become the No. 18 T20I batter.
India’s Tilak Varma has, however, dropped three places and is now ranked 7th.
In the T20I bowler’s ranking, South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch is now in third position. He gained 21 places. The West Indies’ fast bowling all-rounder Matthew Forde has also jumped 23 places to take 7th position.
Jasprit Bumrah impressed with his bowling performance in the Super 8s match against South Africa on Sunday, and his super show with the ball also helped him gain valuable ranking points. With 669 rating points to his credit, Bumrah is now the world’s No. 8 T20I bowler. He was in 15th position last week.
Zimbabwe will face India in their second Super 8s match of the T20 World Cup 2026 on Thursday. And on the eve of that fixture in Chennai, their skipper, Sikandar Raza, is once again back at the top of the T20I all-rounder’s list. Raza replaced Pakistan’s Saim Ayub from the No. 1 position.
India’s Hardik Pandya has retained his No. 3 position, whereas Shivam Dube is now ranked 7th after gaining two places.
