Fans were eagerly awaiting the teaser of Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s upcoming romantic comedy, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. And looks like they will have to wait a little longer. The makers of the film
have officially announced that the teaser, which was earlier scheduled for release today, has been postponed to a new date.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Varun shared a motion poster and revealed that the teaser will be coming on August 29. Earlier, it was scheduled on August 28, but it got postponed for unknown reasons. The rom-com, featuring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in lead roles, has already generated significant buzz

Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari to clash with Kantara: Chapter 1
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari marks Varun Dhawan’s third collaboration with director Shashank Khaitan after the hit films Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017). Alongside Varun and Janhvi Kapoor, the film also features Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, Akshay Oberoi, and Maniesh Paul in pivotal roles.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, producer Karan Johar and the team strategically chose the October 2 release date to capitalise on the festive window. A source revealed, “Producer Karan Johar and the whole team realized that this is the apt time to bring this romcom. This year, besides Gandhi Jayanti, Dussehra also falls on the same day. Hence, it’ll be a festive period and hopefully, it will face no other competition until Diwali. In other words, it will have a clean run for three weeks.”
However, the rom-com won’t have a completely solo release. With its new date, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is set for a box office clash with Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1 and the Harshvardhan Rane-starrer Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat.
