Good news for Mumbaikars as Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation (MMRC) has announced it will operate Metro Line-3 overnight on New Year’s Eve. As per the details shared by MMRC, the Aqua Line metro will operate through
the night from 10:30 pm on December 31 to 5:55 am on January 1, 2026.
The special extended night service has been announced to ensure convenient and safe travel for commuters celebrating New Year’s Eve.
BEST To Run Extra Buses On NYE
Additionally, the Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) also announced that they will operate additional bus services across key routes on the night of December 31. As per an official release issued by BEST, the services will be provided to passengers travelling to popular tourist destinations such as the Gateway of India, Juhu Chowpatty, Gorai Creek, and Marve Chowpatty.
Timings: 11:00 pm to 2:00 am (subject to traffic conditions)

Key Destinations Covered: Electronic City, Jigani, Sarjapura, Kengeri, Nelamangala, Yelahanka, Bagaluru, Hosakote, Kadugodi, Banashankari, Jeevan Bhimanagara, Central Silk Board, Koramangala, and more.
Additional Services From: Kempegowda Bus Station, KR Market, Shivajinagar, Shanthinagar, Banashankari, Hebbal, Yeshwanthapura, Yelahanka, Kengeri, Central Silk Board, and other major junctions.
The special bus routes include 86, 203, 231, and AC routes A-21, A-112, A-116, A-247, A-272, and A-294. BEST will also operate its heritage bus tours from 5:30 pm on December 31 till the early hours of January, the local reports state.
