Salman Khan is currently making all the headlines for his upcoming film with Nayanthara, and while the leads of the movie have already been confirmed by the makers, there are several reports about who
will play the negative lead in the film.
As per a report by Mid-Day, the makers are considering Fahadh Faasil or Akshaye Khanna for the negative role in the film. According to the portal, a source shared, “The script demands someone who can stand toe-to-toe with Salman. Both Fahadh and Akshaye bring different energies. That’s exactly why the team is taking its time before locking an actor. Earlier, the team was also considering Arvind Swamy.”
The report further states that the makers are currently wrapping up the Manali schedule, and before they move to the Hyderabad schedule, they need to lock in their antagonist. A source revealed, “The antagonist will have to be roped in before the Hyderabad leg begins, as the face-off portions will be shot in that stint.”
More about the project
The yet-to-be-titled film will be directed by National Film Award-winning director Vamshi Paidipally. The film will also star Nayanthara as the female lead. This project will mark Salman’s first collaboration with both the actress and the director. The duo started shooting for the action drama last week in Mumbai. Now, a fresh report suggests that the makers are planning to shoot a special asset to announce its title. As of now, the film is being called SVC63, as it is the 63rd production of the banner, Sri Venkateswara Creations.
According to Mid-Day, “As is the case with many South films, titles of big releases are launched in style with visual assets. While the movie’s shoot has begun, the team has decided to film a separate video asset with Salman to unveil the title.”
Meanwhile, Salman recently shared a video from the mahurat ceremony on set and announced the release date. The actioner is set to release on Eid 2027. Along with the video, the superstar penned a quirky caption that read, “Thoda durr ki sochna chahiye, that’s why announced Eid… Don’t worry, iss wali ka bhi bataenge when the time is right… Patience, thoda sa sabar… Mere jitna hi intezar karna padega. Baharhaal, jo aapka haal hai, woh hi mera bhi haal hai… haha.”
