Timothee Chalamet officially entered his 30s, and he marked the milestone in a way that felt personal rather than polished. The actor celebrated his birthday on Saturday, December 27, with an Instagram
post filled with throwback photos from his childhood. The carousel included old snapshots of Chalamet playing soccer and ping pong, along with a photo of him standing beside his father, Marc Chalamet.
Mixed in were two newer images showing the actor swimming with a shaved head, offering a contrast between past and present without spelling it out.
“THANK U FOR THE BIRTHDAY WISHES THANK U THANK U THANK U!!!!!! TIMMYTIM IS OFFICIALLY UNC #uncletimmytim,” Chalamet wrote in the caption, leaning into the internet slang “unc,” shorthand for “uncle,” often used jokingly to suggest someone is getting older.

Susan Boyle’s Birthday Moment
The birthday didn’t stop with throwback photos. Chalamet also received a surprise greeting from Susan Boyle, best known for her breakout moment on Britain’s Got Talent. The message came after Chalamet gifted Boyle a jacket inspired by his latest film, Marty Supreme.
The actor has been sending the jacket to a range of high-profile names while promoting the project, including Tom Brady and Justin Bieber, as well as girlfriend, Kylie Jenner.
In a short video, Boyle sang “Happy Birthday” and offered warm wishes as Chalamet entered a new decade. He later reshared the clip on his Instagram Stories, responding with, “THANK U SUSAN !!!!!!!”
A Milestone Year To Match The Milestone Birthday
Chalamet’s 30th birthday arrives at the end of a career-defining year. In 2025, he earned major awards attention for his portrayal of Bob Dylan in A Complete Unknown, picking up nominations at the Oscars, BAFTA Awards, Critics’ Choice Awards and Golden Globe Awards.
He ultimately won the role at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. During his acceptance speech earlier this year, Chalamet spoke candidly about ambition and long-term goals.
“I know people don’t usually talk like that, but I want to be one of the greats. I’m inspired by the greats,” he said on the ocassion.
Timothee Chalamet’s latest film, Marty Supreme, is currently in theatres.
