Rajkummar Rao’s much-awaited theatrical film Raftaar has locked a new release date. The Amazon MGM Studios Original will now arrive in cinemas on October 16, coinciding with the extended Dussehra weekend.
The film promises a big-screen drama built around ambition, hustle, power and the emotional cost of chasing success.
Directed by Aditya Nimbalkar, Raftaar stars Rajkummar Rao and Keerthy Suresh in the lead roles. The film is produced by Patralekhaa under the banner of Kampa Film, marking the beginning of Rajkummar and Patralekhaa’s entrepreneurial journey as producers.
Rajkummar Rao’s Raftaar Gets New Release Date
Raftaar is set to release in theatres on October 16. The film has been executive produced by Tarun Bali, while Rohan Narula has written the story and screenplay. PVR INOX Pictures will distribute the film.
Apart from Rajkummar Rao and Keerthy Suresh, the film also features Anurag Thakur, Rohan Verma, Tanya Maniktala and Rajat Kapoor in pivotal roles.
Announcing the new release date, Rajkummar Rao shared a post and wrote, “They say building a dream takes time, but living it takes even more hustle! RAFTAAR is not just a film, it’s our first step into the theatrical world, a labour of belief, grit and countless dreams. When something is this personal and special, it deserves the time to grow into something truly memorable.”
He further added, “That’s why we are now arriving, in cinemas, on 16 October for the extended Dussehra weekend.
