What is the story about?
If you have been facing hairfall, especially during the wintertime, you are not alone. This season can bring about a lot of hair loss, and it is heartbreaking. But if you want to stay away from chemicals
and other beauty procedures, this simple make-ahead shot of amla and curry leaves can offer a natural remedy to hairfall.
Have this shot in the morning, as it is packed with nutrients that can help you strengthen roots and even encourage growth. However, it doesn’t happen overnight. Add it to your routine, and consistency is the key to finding your hair growing back.
Health Benefits of the ingredients used in the shot
- Amla, or Indian gooseberry, is rich in vitamin C, almost 20 times more than oranges. It boosts collagen and gives you stronger hair follicles, reduces oxidative stress that causes hair fall, and balances scalp pH to prevent dandruff. Amla has antioxidants like polyphenols that fight premature greying and stimulate new growth.
- Curry leaves are loaded with beta-carotene and proteins. They minimise breakage of hair and can prevent greying by improving pigmentation. Curry leaves are rich in iron and antioxidants, which enhance blood circulation to the scalp, fostering thicker strands and natural shine.
- Turmeric has curcumin, which has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. It can soothe itchy scalps and curb fungal infections. Turmeric acts as a natural detoxifier, promoting healthier follicles for robust regrowth.
- Ginger contains gingerol, which improves scalp circulation. It helps to deliver nutrients directly to the follicles for faster hair growth. It has an anti-inflammatory effect that can tame dandruff, while antioxidants protect against environmental damage.
- Methi, aka fenugreek seeds, are high in lecithin and proteins. They lubricate the scalp, condition each hair strand and can curb thinning of the hair. It has soluble fibre that strengthens the roots, reduces fallout, and adds volume to your hair, along with natural shine.
