The Aam Aadmi Party on Monday dismissed its three rebel MLAs, who joined the BJP earlier in the day, saying the saffron party has a habit of collecting “trash”.
The AAP, which is the ruling party in Punjab,
has lost out on Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, Chetan Singh Jouramajra ahead of the assembly election early next year.
Calling the BJP in Punjab a “hollow construct”, AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said those who have received negative feedback will not get a ticket to contest the upcoming election.
“We had already stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party doesn’t even have 117 candidates to field for the elections; the entire party is just a hollow construct. Naturally, we will not grant tickets to those whose candidacies we decide to drop – those who have received negative feedback. The BJP has always had a habit of collecting trash – so, let them give tickets to these people. We have no issue with that; what is certain is that we will not be giving them tickets,” Bharadwaj said.
