Amid multiple crackdowns by the Maharashtra FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe in the state, Salman Khan has also warned his friend to maintain hygiene at her cafe in Mumbai. Recently, the Bollywood superstar
took to the stories section of her Instagram handle and jokingly asked his friend not to compromise on quality of the food or else he will send Tukaram Mundhe. Though Khan did not directly mention FDA Commissioner’s name, it was evident that he referred to Mundhe in his post.
“Refill my coffee ya please. Price mat badhana, quality maintain karna. Hygiene maintained or I will send HIM and it’s done sis,” he wrote. It should also be noted that with “It’s done sis”, Salman has given a hilarious spinoff to his viral line “It’s done bro” which he wrote while requesting Sonam Wangchuk to end his hunger strike earlier this year.
Tukaram Mundhe’s Notice To Bollywood Stars
Salman Khan’s post comes days after Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff were served show-cause notices from the Maharashtra FDA over their Vimal Elaichi advertisement. The regulator alleged that the campaign could amount to surrogate advertising for Vimal Pan Masala, a product banned in Maharashtra.
According to the notices, the FDA stated the advertisement creates an indirect association with Vimal Pan Masala. The regulator also raised concerns that promoting the Vimal brand through an elaichi product could effectively serve as indirect promotion of the pan masala brand.
“Upon examination of the said advertisement, it prima facie appears that the advertisement promotes the Vimal brand, which is mainly associated with Pan Masala, a product prohibited for manufacture, storage, transportation, distribution, and sale in the State of Maharashtra for a period of one year, with effect from the date specified in the Prohibition Order dated the 13th July, 2026, issued by the Commissioner of Food Safety, Maharashtra State, under Section 30(2)(a) of the FSS Act, 2006,” the notice read.
While Ajay Devgn and Tiger Shroff have replied to the notices, Shah Rukh Khan’s response is still awaited.
