Mumbai has been reeling under the impact of relentless heavy rain since Saturday, with several roads closed for traffic. The torrential rains have nearly brought the city traffic to a standstill with several areas
severely waterlogged.
Mumbai Rain: Waterlogged Areas To Avoid
Due to accumulation of water, traffic is moving slowly at many places, including at Gol Deul, Gulalwadi, Wadala, Shivdi, Nawab Tank, Nagpada, Maratha Mandir, Byculla, Bawla Compound, Bhoiwada, Wadala Station Four Roads, Hindmata Junction, Matunga, Mumbai Traffic Police said in a post on X.

In these areas, one and a half to two feet of water have accumulated due to the morning showers, causing traffic to move slowly, traffic police said.
Similarly, due to severe waterlogging, traffic is moving at a slow pace at Dadar TT, Trombay, Maharashtra Nagar Subway, Antop Hill, MG Road Chowk, Kanekar Nagar, Sardar Nagar, Pratiksha Nagar.
As rains continue to batter Mumbai, several areas the city received over 200mm rainfall in the last 24 hours, with Vikhroli in the eastern suburbs registering the highest downpour at 255.5mm. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister advised citizens to take precautions as more showers are expected along with high tides.
A red alert has been issued for Mumbai, Thane, and Raigad, with the IMD forecasting extremely heavy rainfall in these areas today.
