Actor-producer Richa Chadha is set to explore a new creative space with an upcoming non-fiction series focused on travel, culture, and the stories behind people and places. The project will see her step
into the non-fiction format as a creator, expanding her work beyond acting and scripted storytelling. The series will take a close look at Bharat’s cultural landscape, covering communities, traditions, and everyday experiences across different regions. Through real encounters and observations, the show aims to reflect how culture shapes lives, while keeping the narrative rooted in lived realities rather than spectacle. This marks Richa’s first foray into non-fiction as a creator and adds another dimension to her work in the industry. Over the years, she has steadily moved into producing, taking on projects that focus on character-driven stories and social themes. Her debut production, Girls Will Be Girls, received attention at several international film festivals, bringing visibility to the kind of stories she is interested in backing. The film’s reception reinforced her interest in supporting narratives that are personal, grounded, and reflective of contemporary realities. With the upcoming non-fiction series, Richa plans to continue exploring different formats while staying close to stories rooted in culture and everyday life. The project is expected to balance travel with storytelling, offering viewers a deeper look at places through the people who live there.
Speaking about this new creative chapter, Richa Chadha said, “I’ve always believed that stories exist everywhere in people, in places, in cultures we’ve never paused to understand. With this non-fiction series, I want to explore that world with curiosity and compassion. As an artist, I feel it’s important to keep experimenting, keep growing, and keep challenging yourself. Girls Will Be Girls was my first step in that direction as a producer, and this new series is another leap into a space that excites me deeply. I’m eager to bring real stories of travel, heritage, and human connection to life. I had done a sort of test run of this kind of content, during the 2nd wave of COVID with KINDRY. So I know it will touch the hearts of Indians all over the world!”
Richa’s upcoming project will spotlight diverse landscapes, histories, and untold narratives, aiming to inspire audiences to see the world through fresh eyes.
