This holiday season, Sabrina Carpenter surprised fans with a special Christmas gift. On December 24, the Gen Z pop queen released a bonus track on Man’s Best Friend titled Such a Funny Way.
This special
surprise came as a token of gratitude for Sabrina’s fans for giving her “such a beautiful year,” she wrote on Instagram.

After dropping ‘Such a Funny Way’ on streaming platforms, Sabrina said the song is for anyone who is in need of a “cathartic Christmas crashout song”. The Manchild singer added, “I love you guys so much. Thank you for caring for these songs the way I do and for such a special 2025!! I feel lucky to know there’s still so much good to come. x”
Along with the bonus track, Sabrina also released a vintage-style lyric video, which showed her dressed in old Hollywood glam attire and surrounded by men.

Earlier in September, the Taste singer announced she was dropping Such a Funny Way through digital release. Talking about the song on her Instagram, Sabrina shared, “Such a Funny Way is a song I am so proud of.”
She added, “The sentiment is one I always thought could really be the end of Man’s Best Friend in another universe! I didn’t want you to wait too long to have it and get to know it. It’s available for digital download now.”

In April 2025, Sabrina released her seventh studio album, Man’s Best Friend. During an interview with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1, the singer revealed a “newer heartbreak experience” inspired this album.
“I think I came out of a sad situation a lot less bitter than I intended or expected to,” she shared at that time, adding that the music “feels very reflective of this time in my life where you don’t really have a lot of time to sort of mope and weep.”
Man’s Best Friend and its songs earned six nominations at the upcoming 68th Annual Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album. The results will be revealed on February 1, 2026.
