‘Around the world in 80 days’ is a phrase that has long captured the human imagination. The idea of doing a world trip in 80 days or less has been the subject of a novel, TV show and much more. But now,
a new offer has captured the public imagination. People can travel the world in just 23 days. But there’s a catch- the trip will be on a private jet and costs a whopping Rs 99 lakh per person. A newspaper advertisement for the trip has been circulating on social media.
Sharing the photo of the advert on X, a user wrote, “23 Days World Tour in a private jet! All for just Rs 99 lakhs per person. Would be interesting to see the people who have signed up for this.”

Company Promises World Trip In 23 Days
The travel experience, offered by a company named Q Odyssey, promises travellers an adventurous and exciting trip. Travellers will have celebrity chef Vicky Ratnani prepare their meals. The luxurious private jet features lie-back seats for maximum comfort. The trip will start from Mumbai and then go to exotic locations like Malta, Alaska, and more. The journey will last from June 6 to June 28.
Travellers will get to spend three nights each in destinations like Valletta (Malta), Marrakech (Morocco), Nuuk (Greenland), Anchorage (Alaska), Seoul (South Korea), The Gobi Desert (Mongolia) and Lijiang (China), as per the official website. A professional filmmaker will be on board to document the journey.
How Did The Internet React?
Several people found the idea unfeasible. “Okay 7 destinations in 23 days is crazy firstly because they are spread across and jet lag + energy is not taken into consideration. Let’s say you spend 3-4 days on an average in these places. I can do this whole thing on my own for 7 lakhs without visa + flights. Adding that it would probably be 14-15 lakhs. 99 lakhs is laughable! If I have 99 lakhs why will I try to see the world in 23 days? Means kuch bhi,” a user wrote.
“The biggest task for this trip is getting a visa,” another joked.
“Ghumne wale income tax walo k liye b taiyar rahe,” an account quipped.
“Time to sell that Bitcoin,” a user joked.
“I would rather buy a plot for 99 lakhs,” another remarked.
Comparing the trip to reality shows, an account wrote, “Big Boss Mid Air.”
For many people, the deal did not seem worth the price as they pointed out that cheaper options are available. Others remarked that better destinations could have been covered. The discussion around the advert proved that when it comes to a world tour, cost and destinations are the biggest things on people’s minds, and not luxury.
