Baahubali co-stars Prabhas and Anushka Shetty are all set to share the screen once again after a long gap of eight years. Fans who have admired their adorable chemistry since Baahubali are buzzing with
excitement and honestly, we don’t blame them. According to a report, the much-loved on-screen pair will come together for a special conversation to mark a decade of Baahubali: The Beginning, the magnum opus directed by SS Rajamouli.
As per PinkVilla, the interview will feature both Prabhas and Anushka revisiting their memories, experiences and the massive cultural impact of the first part of the franchise that changed Indian cinema forever. However, an official confirmation on the format of the reunion is yet to be made.
Baahubali Franchise
Baahubali: The Beginning, released in 2015, introduced audiences to the kingdom of Mahishmati. The story revolves around Mahendra Baahubali (played by Prabhas), who discovers his roots as the son of Amarendra Baahubali after he falls for a woman who is also a warrior. Alongside Prabhas and Anushka Shetty, the film also featured Tamannaah Bhatia, Rana Daggubatti and Ramya Krishnan, among others.
The breathtaking visuals, action sequences and performances led the film to break several box office records and then came the sequel, Baahubali: The Conclusion, in 2017, which finally answered the million-dollar question, Why did Katappa kill Baahubali? That film, too, became a massive success and cemented Prabhas and Anushka as one of the most loved onscreen pairs of Indian cinema.
Now, after nearly a decade, their reunion feels nothing short of a celebration for Baahubali lovers. While details about the interview are still under wraps, fans can’t keep calm to watch them together on screen once again.
What’s Next For Prabhas
Prabhas has a full plate ahead. His next film, The Raja Saab, is a horror comedy directed by Maruthi. After multiple delays, it is scheduled to release in theatres on December 5. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan and Nidhhi Agerwal.
Apart from this, Prabhas also has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit with Triptii Dimri and the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD. Before Triptii, the makers of Spirit had cast Deepika Padukone as the female lead but the actress decided to quit the film for her work demands. Later, Triptii was roped in to replace her and she announced the news via a post on social media.
