several media reports claim that Shankar is in a romantic relationship with the Tadap star. While neither of the actors has issued an official statement, let’s find out who Jiya Shankar is.
Who Is Jiya Shankar?
Jiya Shankar is an actress known for her work in television, films and web series. She began her acting career in 2013 with the Telugu film Entha Andanga Unnave. She then made her Tamil debut in Kanavu Variyam (2017) and appeared in the Telugu romantic comedy Hyderabad Love Story (2018). In 2022, Jiya marked her Marathi film entry with Ved, which also starred Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D’souza.
As far as her journey on Hindi television is concerned, Jiya’s breakthrough came with the comedy-drama Meri Hanikarak Biwi, where she played Dr Ira Pandey. She later starred as Susheela (also called “Sattu”) in Kaatelal & Sons. The show gained popularity for its gender-role themes. Later, Jiya also appeared in the supernatural drama Pishachini. She also participated in Bigg Boss OTT 2, where she was evicted just before the finale.
Jiya has also worked in the digital space. She appeared in the web series Virgin Bhasskar 2, which is streaming on ZEE5.
Jiya Shankar Dating Ahan Shetty?
On Thursday, several online posts suggested that Jiya and Ahan are romantically involved. It was said that the two were not only dating but might even be considering marriage. However, Ahan’s spokesperson later addressed the speculations and called the reports unfounded.
“These dating rumours are completely baseless. Ahan isn’t seeing anyone right now — he’s entirely focused on his work. He’s got multiple projects lined up, with Border 2 just around the corner,” he said, in a statement.
