Mardaani 3: Overall Footfall
Morning shows opened on a slower note with under 6.67% occupancy, but attendance picked up steadily as the day progressed. Mardaani 3: Plot And Cast
Aditya Chopra produces Mardaani 3 and continues the franchise’s trend of hard-hitting, socially important narrative. While Mardaani delves into the bleak world of human trafficking and Mardaani 2 delves into the twisted mentality of a merciless serial offender, the third installment addresses another dark and relevant social issue.
Abhiraj Minawala directed the film, which stars Rani Mukerji, Janki Bodiwala, and Mallika Prasad. The plot centres around Rani’s character, Shivani, who investigates the disappearance of 93 young girls over the course of three months. Pradeep Sarkar directed the first film, Mardaani, which was released in 2014. Gopi Puthran directed Mardaani 2.
The film has mostly positive reviews, with audiences praising Rani Mukerji’s powerful performance and the severity of the subject matter. However, its box-office performance has not been without hurdles, with Sunny Deol’s Border 2 emerging as a formidable competition to Mardaani 3.
