Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal’s Love and War is one of the most anticipated films fans have been waiting for quite some time. With the shoot finally approaching its end, a report has it that
the trio will be back on set on June 18 to film the movie’s grandest sequences yet.
As per a report by Mid-Day, the upcoming shoot is for a song, and it will be shot over multiple days. Earlier plans were to kick off on June 8, but the delay was caused due to pre-arrangements.
As per a source, “It’s being designed as a spectacle. It was originally to kick off on June 8 but is now starting on the 18th at Royal Palms.”
“The choreography, costumes, and production design have been in preparation for weeks. The scale is enormous, even by Sanjay Leela Bhansali standards. Every frame has been meticulously storyboarded, which is why the shoot was pushed by two weeks,” the source further added, justifying the delay.
More about Love and War
The film will hit theatres on January 21, 2027. Previously, Bhansali was eyeing a Summer 2026 release for Love & War. However, the film’s production was delayed for certain reasons. Later, Ranbir Kapoor also confirmed the delay in an Instagram live session and revealed that the film will be released after Ramayana Part One, which is slated to hit screens in October.
As per HT, “Over 500 NDAs have already been signed or are currently in process, ensuring that information, visuals, or material from the sets do not make their way into the public domain.”
Alia Bhatt excited about the film
Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt expressed her excitement about the movie in an interview with News18 Showsha. “I, as an audience, am more excited to see him [Bhansali] and Ranbir collaborate again after so many years. I am like, ‘Wow, what’s that going to be like?’” Talking about reuniting with Vicky Kaushal, Alia continued by saying, “Vicky and I coming together again; Ranbir and Vicky created magic with Sanju. So, it is a lot of combinations,” she said.

While Ranbir Kapoor has Ramayana in his kitty, Alia Bhatt is currently awaiting the release of her upcoming spy thriller Alpha alongside Sharvari. Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal will start shooting Mahavatar, in which he is set to play Chiranjeevi Parashurama.
