A video circulating on social media has captured the brutal assault of a young man in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, sparking outrage online. The footage shows the victim being beaten mercilessly, dragged by
his hair, tied up and forced to touch the attackers’ feet. He was even compelled to address them as ‘papa’ in a degrading attempt to humiliate him.
According to a report in The Free Press Journal, the incident occurred two days ago in the Amakho area of Kampoo. The attackers, later identified as Veer Singh Tomar, Vikram Singh Tomar, Devaraj Parmar, Monty Chauhan, Ankit Tomar, and one other individual, assaulted the victim for nearly an hour. During this time, they forced him to use abusive language and threatened to kill him if he approached the police. Out of fear, the victim did not immediately file a complaint.
The victim has been identified as Anshul Gurjar, a resident of Guda. The video, which surfaced online on Monday, appears to have been deliberately filmed by the attackers and uploaded to social media.

A report by ETV Madhya Pradesh quoted Gwalior CSP Robin Jain as saying, “Two days ago, around 2 am, some miscreants took the victim, Anshul Gurjar, with them to extort money. The five accused, Veer Singh Tomar, Vikram Singh Tomar, Devraj Parmar, Monty Chauhan, and Ankit Tomar, beat him on Amkho Road in Purani Tashan, extorted money, recorded the assault and later shared the video on social media.”
When the clip went viral, CSP Jain sought an inquiry into the matter. Police traced the victim, called him to the station along with members of the local community, and recorded his statement.
According to The Free Press Journal report, authorities have confirmed that all the accused have prior criminal records. A police search operation is underway, and officials have assured that the culprits will be held soon.
ETV Madhya Pradesh quoted CSP Jain as saying, “Along with registering a case against the five accused, teams have been deployed to track them down. Upon investigating their criminal backgrounds, it was found that some of the miscreants had previous cases registered against them. Efforts are now underway to apprehend these accused as soon as possible.”
