In a major boost for air travellers in the NCR region, Noida International Airport is now fully prepared to commence flight operations. All key regulatory approvals are in place, including the aerodrome
licence from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and security clearance from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS).
With only the formal inauguration pending, which is likely to be held on March 28. the airport is set to begin operations soon.
Spacious Parking With Seamless Access
One of the first concerns for passengers, parking, has been thoughtfully addressed. The airport offers a dedicated parking area located just before the terminal, with space to accommodate up to 1,200 cars. This parking zone is directly connected to the terminal building, ensuring easy access.
For added convenience, lifts and escalators have been installed, allowing passengers to move effortlessly with their luggage.
Single Terminal For Arrivals And Departures
To simplify navigation, Noida International Airport features a single integrated terminal for both arrivals and departures. The terminal is designed across two levels; while the upper level is designated for departures, the lower level caters to arriving passengers.
This streamlined layout eliminates confusion and enhances passenger flow within the airport.
Unified Concourse Area For Easy Movement
The airport has a common concourse area serving both arrival and departure sections. Notably, there is no separate ramp for the departure terminal.
Instead, passengers can use two escalators and two lifts located on either side of the arrival concourse to reach the departure level conveniently.
Multiple Entry Gates With Digi Yatra App
The departure terminal is equipped with a total of eight entry gates, each featuring eight access points. This allows multiple passengers to enter simultaneously, reducing waiting time. All gates are integrated with the Digi Yatra app for seamless, contactless entry.
Additionally, a separate entry gate has been designated for flight crew and airport staff, ensuring smooth movement without delays.
Efficient Check-In Options For Passengers
Upon entering the terminal, passengers will find airline check-in counters conveniently located at the front. Here, travellers can complete baggage check-in and collect boarding passes with assistance from airline staff.
For those who have already completed e-check-in, the airport offers a self bag drop facility, allowing passengers to tag and drop their luggage independently, saving time.
Advanced Security Check Infrastructure
To ensure quick and efficient security screening, the airport has installed 13 Door Frame Metal Detectors (DFMDs). Of these, 12 are designated for passenger checks, while one is reserved for crew and staff.
For baggage scanning, six Automatic Tray Retrieval Systems (ATRS) have been set up, helping to minimise queues and speed up the process.
Boarding Area With Food Court And Multiple Gates
After clearing security, passengers can proceed along a corridor on the left side, which leads to the boarding section. At the end of the corridor, two escalators take travellers down to the lower level, where the boarding gates are located.
The layout is designed for comfort and convenience: there is a food court area on the left, while the boarding gates are positioned on the right. The airport features a total of 10 boarding gates along with 2 bus gates.
Passengers assigned to bus gates will need to go one level further down, where similar infrastructure is available.
Arrival Terminal Ready To Welcome Passengers
The arrival section of Noida International Airport is also fully operational and ready to receive passengers.
With its modern infrastructure and passenger-friendly design, the airport aims to offer a smooth and memorable travel experience from entry to boarding.
