In a shocking incident from the Tamil film industry, a video from Rajinikanth’s upcoming movie Jailer 2 has been leaked online ahead of its release. While the clip is being circulated on social media platforms,
the makers have issued a statement urging everyone not to use, share or repost it.
“We would like to bring to your attention that a Video clip from the sets of ‘Jailer 2’ is currently being circulated on social media platforms. Our anti-piracy team is actively monitoring the situation and will be taking necessary action to remove such content, including initiating measures against accounts involved in sharing or promoting these clips,” a statement by the production house Sun Pictures read, as quoted by Deccan Herald.
“We kindly request members of the media and fans club to refrain from using, sharing, or reposting this video, in order to avoid any potential suspension or restrictions on their accounts. Please note that the production will not be held responsible for any such actions taken or to retrieve the accounts,” it added.
Second Leak In A Month
This is the second time in a month that an upcoming Tamil movie has been leaked. Earlier this month, Thalapathy Vijay’s Jana Nayagan was also leaked online.
After the leak, the producers of the movie initiated legal action against the source. The legal team representing the film’s production house, KVN Productions LLP, issued a public notice warning against the circulation of any leaked content, including clips, images, or full versions of the film. The team also expressed “shock and urgency” over the breach, and warned of action if leaked scenes are downloaded, shared or reposted on any digital medium. Eight people and a freelance assistant editor have been arrested in the case.

Jailer 2 has triggered huge interest, thanks to the phenomenal reach of the first part of the film, which went on to emerge a huge blockbuster, raking in around Rs 650 crores. Shooting of the second part of the film began in Chennai first. Sun Pictures, the production house producing the action entertainer, had announced that shooting for the film had commenced on March 10 this year.
