US President Donald Trump said he is examining Iran’s latest proposal, adding that he has only been told about the “concept of the deal” so far.
Speaking to reporters, he said the exact wording is yet to be
shared with him. “I’m looking at it… I’ll let you know about it later,” he said.
The ceasefire between the United States and Iran continues to remain uncertain. In a social media post on Saturday evening, Trump said he was reviewing the proposal but added he “can’t imagine that it would be acceptable”.
A day earlier, the president had said he was “not satisfied” with Iran’s latest offer. Iranian state media reported that the proposal was sent to Pakistani mediators on Thursday evening.
However, Trump later clarified that his earlier reaction was based only on a briefing. He said he had not yet seen the full details of the proposal and was waiting for the exact terms before making a decision.
US military action on Iran
When asked about the possibility of restarting military strikes against Iran, Trump did not rule it out. He said he could not give a direct answer but added that action could be taken if required.
Trump said, “I can’t tell that to a reporter. If they misbehave, if they do something bad – but right now, we’ll see. It’s a possibility that could happen, certainly.”
On Friday, Trump said he was considering all possible options regarding Iran, including ending the ceasefire.
Speaking to reporters at the White House, he outlined two clear paths under review. One option, he said, was to launch a major military strike and “finish them forever”. The other was to continue efforts towards reaching a negotiated agreement.
He made it clear that no final decision had been taken yet, and both approaches remain on the table. He stressed that the situation is still evolving and that the United States would decide its next steps based on how developments unfold in the coming days.
