Kabir Khan and Kartik Aaryan, after delivering a superhit film Chandu Champion, are all set to collaborate on yet another film. The filmmaker is set to work on a biopic on the life of sports personality
Tajamul Islam, and Kabir has approached Kartik Aaryan to play the important role of Tajamul Islam’s coach in the film.
Tajamul, a Kashmiri kickboxer, has set remarkable records in the sport. She became the world’s youngest kickboxing champion by winning a sub-junior world title at just seven years old, and as per Bollywood Hungama, Kabir has approached Kartik, and he instantly agreed to play the crucial role in the film.
As per the portal’s report, a source shared, “Kartik instantly agreed to be part of the film when Kabir Khan told him it is a film on Tajamul Islam. At this juncture of his career, Kartik wants to be part of cinema that offers more than only entertainment.”
Earlier, a Variety India report stated that Kartik has undergone intense physical training for his role. The second schedule is said to kick-start in March. The film will largely be shot in Srinagar and Pahalgam, and it is expected to be wrapped by October 2026. The makers are planning to release the film in 2027.

The yet-untitled film is inspired by the life of Tajamul Islam, India’s youngest kickboxing world champion and the first Kashmiri to clinch a sub-junior world title. Hailing from Bandipora in North Kashmir, she achieved the milestone when she was just seven. The film will showcase her journey, highlighting her remarkable accomplishments and the challenges she overcame, while aiming to inspire young aspirants striving for excellence despite difficult circumstances.
Kartik Aaryan’s work front
Kartik Aaryan will be playing the role of Preyamvadeshwar Pyare Chand, an Ichadaari Naag, in Naagzilla. The actor’s first look from the film was released in April 2025. Produced by Karan Johar, Mahaveer Jain, Adar Poonawalla, Apoorva Mehta, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and Sujit Jain, Naagzilla promises to be a one-of-a-kind entertainer that blends fantasy, folklore, and full-on fun. The film will hit theatres on August 14, 2026.
