Saif Ali Khan has been acting for a long time, and there is no doubt that he has delivered some of the big hits, including Cocktail. Well, recently, the actor revealed something really cute about his son
Taimur. He mentioned that his son asked about his acting career.
Saif Ali Khan was speaking at a chat with his sister, Soha Ali Khan, on her podcast. He said, “’How much long are you planning to do this for?’ Which is something Tim (Taimur Ali Khan) also asked me recently. I said I don’t know, as long as I can! Forever, it is my job! But they are like, ‘No!’”
Saif added, “It has evolved in a way… But it is possible, and it helps if one is successful. I can name a few people, colleagues and friends of mine in this industry who have balanced it well. They start work at 7 am. The camera rolls at 9 am and they get a lot of work done in a day as well as see their children in the evening before they sleep. It is all a balance where one has a month or two of intensive work and then they are off for a while to maintain the comfort.”
Kareena Kapoor Says Taimur Has ‘No Interest’ In Acting
Saif Ali Khan once said that acting seemed like a nightmare to Taimur. However, he is fascinated by two of Saif’s interests- cooking and acting. In a recent appearance on Soha Ali Khan’s podcast, Kareena Kapoor spoke about Taimur’s interests. Kareena Kapoor said, “Tim has no interest in drama or acting. Every time he had to choose an extra-curricular activity at school, I would read out the list and ask him, ‘Do you want to do drama this year?’ He’d say, ‘No.’ I’d ask, ‘Why not? Just try acting?’ And he’d go, ‘No, I don’t enjoy it.’ So I didn’t push it.”
She recalled, “He once told me he wanted to join a cookery class because his father enjoys cooking. He’s never really met other actors. He keeps asking, ‘Are you friends with Rohit Sharma? With Virat Kohli? Can you message him and ask for his bat? Do you have Lionel Messi’s contact?’ And I’m like, ‘No, I don’t have these contacts.’ He has no clue about actors. He’ll ask, ‘Can I ask this question to Virat?’ and I’m like, ‘No, I don’t know him, you can’t just message him!’”
Previously, in a promotional video for Jewel Thief, Saif Ali Khan recalled, “Taimur is doing a school play, and he said, ‘Mujhe bahut darr lagta hai, Abba, logo ke saamne. Maine bola mujhe dialogues nahi bolne hain (I get scared in front of people, Dad. I said I don’t want to recite any dialogues).’ And somebody said, ‘You are so great. You speak so many lines. I don’t know how you learned these lines.’”
Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan welcomed Taimur on December 20, 2016. Even as a baby, Taimur caught everyone’s eye with his cuteness and adorable mannerisms. The couple then welcomed their second son, Jehangir, on February 21, 2021. Both boys became paparazzi favourites. While Saif and Kareena did not shy away from letting the shutterbugs record Taimur and Jeh, the recent knife attack on Saif changed things. The couple then requested that their children’s movements not be recorded.

The first look teaser of Hum Hindustani is set in newly independent India in 1950 and opens with Saif Ali Khan’s character delivering a powerful speech. He tells the crowd that in America at the time, people of colour were denied the right to vote. He then declared that India is about to undertake something that has never been done anywhere in the world- universal adult suffrage. The teaser then shows a glimpse of Pratik Gandhi’s character as a police officer. As a rebellion aimed at stopping democracy erupts, Pratik Gandhi is tasked with stopping those opposing the democratic process.
