Ukraine on Tuesday derided Russia for launching a deadly missile and drone attack that killed 13 people in several cities, including Kyiv, and damaged civilian and energy infrastructure.
Ukrainian President
Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in a social media post that Russia launched 656 attack drones and 73 missiles of various types in its attack, and stressed that such attacks would continue as long as Ukraine is not given adequate assistance from Europe and the US.
Zelenskyy said at least four people were killed and 38 others were injured in Kyiv, and dozens of residential buildings were damaged. Moreover, nine people were killed in Dnipro, and 35 people were injured, with the fate of six people unknown. A search and rescue operation was launched for people trapped under the rubble of a four-storey apartment building.
“Europe needs its own anti-ballistic defence so that this war can finally be brought to an end. And assistance from the United States in supplying missiles for the Patriot systems is absolutely necessary. We are counting on the support of our partners and on effective responses to today’s attack,” Zelenskyy said in his post.

‘Putin Is A Loser’
Meanwhile, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha said the deadly barrage showed that Russian President Vladimir Putin was a “war criminal” and a “loser” who had no cards except terror.
“Moscow is losing on the battlefield. No number of missiles can change this. What we can change is Russia’s ability to continue terror. I urge partners to act, not only condemn. There are concrete steps that can be taken,” he added.
The only reason for Russia’s overnight horrific attack against Ukraine with 656 drones and 73 missiles that killed at least 12, including children, and injured hundreds of civilians is that Putin is a war criminal and loser who has no cards except terror.

Sybiha urged additional Patriot systems for Ukraine and called for increased investment in Ukraine’s long-range capabilities. He also called for new sanctions on Russia, travel bans for combatants, full use of frozen assets, and international isolation.
Russia said on Tuesday that it had carried out a huge strike, including with hypersonic missiles, targeting Ukraine’s military-industrial complex.
Authorities in Ukraine had been sounding the alarm that Russia was preparing another massive attack, the latest in a string of deadly strikes that have escalated the four-year war and dented already slim hopes for peace.
