Jaipur, Dec 24 (PTI) Cold conditions intensified in Rajasthan as night temperatures fell significantly on Tuesday due to the influence of northerly winds, while dense fog was recorded in several parts
of northern Rajasthan.
According to the Met department, Fatehpur in Sikar remained the coldest place in the state recording a minimum of 2.6 degrees Celsius, followed by Nagaur at 3.4 degrees Celsius. Sikar recorded night temperature of 5 degrees Celsius, Churu 5.8 degrees Celsius, Mount Abu 6.6 degrees Celsius, Jhunjhunu 6.8 degrees Celsius and Pilani 7.2 degrees Celsius.
Among other places, Dausa recorded 8.1 degrees, Jaisalmer 8.8 and Bhilwara 10.5 degrees Celsius, while Jaipur registered 11 degrees Celsius. Kota recorded 12.2 and Barmer 13 degrees Celsius.
The department said cold conditions are likely to persist in parts of the state, with shallow to dense fog expected in northern districts during early morning hours. PTI SDA MNK MNK
