Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer’s two-word X post, hours after Punjab Kings’ unbeaten run continued in IPL 2026, has gone viral on social media. Under him, PBKS has won five consecutive matches out of
six games, with one being washed out due to rain in Kolkata.
On Sunday, April 19, Priyansh Arya, one of the nation’s most exciting T20 batting prospects alongside Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, blazed his way to a brilliant 93 as Punjab Kings thrashed Lucknow Super Giants by 54 runs in an Indian Premier League clash in Mullanpur.
Once Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant and Mitchell Marsh were dismissed during the chase, it became a mere formality for Iyer’s men to seal the victory over LSG, as they continue their push to go one better than their runners-up finish in 2025.
“Double Digits 💪🏻,” Iyer tweeted on Monday evening.

Punjab Kings now have 11 points from six games, with Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals following next on eight points each.
When Punjab Kings batted, a Powerplay score of 63/1 provided a solid platform, but they were even more dominant in the middle phase, scoring 66 runs between the seventh and 11th overs.
Priyansh, the beefy southpaw, just stood and delivered with minimal footwork and maximum bat speed as balls flew thick and fast.
Fuller balls were dispatched straight down the ground or lofted over extra cover. Short and wide deliveries were cut or ramped away, while shoulder-high bouncers were pulled or hooked with effortless ease, all without the slightest change in expression.
It seemed like a regular job for the man, who also learned ropes from Gautam Gambhir’s childhood coach, Sanjay Bhardwaj.
Cooper Connolly was cut from a different cloth; his lofted sixes over extra cover and authoritative front-foot pulls into the deep mid-wicket stands brilliant enough to make even his coach, Ricky Ponting, proud.
