Harry Styles has returned without warning, releasing a lengthy music video for an unreleased song and immediately setting off speculation about his next musical chapter. The unexpected drop, his first
new material in more than three years, has renewed fan interest in whether a fourth solo album and fresh tour plans could be on the horizon.
The eight-and-a-half-minute video for Forever, Forever appeared on Styles’ official YouTube channel on December 28. The ballad was previously known only to concertgoers, having been performed during the final show of his Love On Tour in Reggio Emilia, Italy, on July 22, 2023. Until now, the track had not received an official release.
The opening moments of the video focus on fans gathering outside the Italian stadium ahead of the tour’s closing night. The footage captures their anticipation and emotions as they reflect on the end of the tour, with scenes of fans interacting, braiding hair and sharing what Styles’ performances have meant to them. One fan says, “[There’s] some sadness because it is the last show, then he will disappear,” while another adds, “We won’t see him dancing on stages anymore.”
As the video unfolds, Styles is shown speaking to the crowd in Italian before moving to the piano to perform Forever, Forever. Introducing the song, he tells the audience, “I wrote this for you.” Shots of visibly emotional fans are intercut throughout the performance. The video closes with the words “WE BELONG TOGETHER” displayed on screen.
The closing message has fueled online discussion, with fans interpreting it as a possible hint toward Styles’ next album, commonly referred to as HS4. Many have suggested the phrase could be linked to the title or theme of the upcoming project.
Several fans have shared their interpretations of the release. One commented, “Honestly, this feels more like a thank you than a tease. He’s always framed the tour as something shared with the fans,” while another said, “The way the message bookends the tour makes it feel so complete.”
Speculation has also extended to potential touring plans. Australian radio host Brendan “Fev” Fevola claimed insider information about Styles’ future schedule, saying, “I’ve got some hot press,” before adding, “It was word of mouth, straight from a very, very close confidant He’ll be touring Australia next year. 100 per cent coming to Australia. It’s huge news.” Fevola further stated that a “very, very close confidant” had indicated Styles would head to Australia in 2026 following the release of his next album.
Online reactions have continued to pour in, with one fan writing, “Harry Styles is back to heal us from depression — really excited for this new era of his!” Another added, “’We belong together’, which means he’s coming back, which means new tour, which means new music, which means HS4 at midnight.”
Despite the buzz, Styles has not promoted the video on his social media accounts.
