The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati turned into a complete family affair as grandson Agastya Nanda appeared on Amitabh Bachchan’s show along with his Ikkis team. Simar Bhatia, Jaideep Ahlawat and Sriram
Raghavan were also part of the episode.
The episode was packed with entertaining moments, with nanu Amitabh Bachchan playfully pulling Agastya’s leg, making it a fun-filled watch for viewers.
Amitabh Bachchan Teases Agastya Nanda For Looking Out For Co-Actor Simar Bhatia
Agastya was spotted adjusting co-star Simar Bhatia’s pallu, prompting Amitabh Bachchan to chime in, teasing that it was the first time he had ever seen his grandson do something like this. Simar also playfully complained that Agastya had tried to scare her behind the stage and reminded her to “maintain decorum” in front of Big B. The Deewaar actor quickly came to her rescue, telling Simar to simply be herself on the show.
When Simar asked Amitabh Bachchan about his reaction when Agastya told him he wanted to become an actor, Agastya quickly quipped that there had been absolutely no reaction. But Big B then shared the story, saying he had always known the Ikkis actor was destined for acting. He recalled how Agastya once wrote, acted out, and recorded a scene on his phone, unaware that Amitabh had watched it. From that moment, the Piku actor was certain his grandson would join showbiz rather than enter his father’s business in Delhi.
When Simar asked if he had ever shared acting tips with Agastya, Amitabh said there was never a need. Agastya added that once, during a dining table conversation, Amitabh had advised him to focus on his craft, because that is what truly connects an actor to the audience.
‘Parent-Teacher Meeting’ For Agastya
For Agastya, the show felt like a parent-teacher meeting, as he nervously navigated having his nana Amitabh Bachchan and director Sriram Raghavan in the same room. Things eventually settled, and Sriram Raghavan, director of Ikkis later revealed in the show that he finalised Agastya as his lead actor for the film because when he saw him in his office, his presence reminded him of Amitabh Bachchan in Saat Hindustani.
More On The Show
When an audience member asked Agastya about a side of Amitabh Bachchan fans don’t see, he said his grandfather is usually very serious at home, and the fun, joking side on stage is something they rarely witness, which he’s enjoying now.
Agastya was then asked to choose between his favourite, nana or nani. He tried to dodge the question, but at Amitabh’s insistence, he jokingly chose his nana for the day, later adding that he loves both equally. The show also featured a surprise appearance by Agastya’s mother Shweta Bachchan and sister Navya Naveli Nanda.
