With films like No Entry, Partner, and Ready, Salman Khan proved that he can master the comedy genre just as well as he can excel in action and romance. But did you know that it only took Salman Khan 10
minutes to understand the vein of his character for No Entry? Anees Bazmee recently made his revelation in a chat with Hindustan Times.
Anees Bazmee said, “For No Entry, I just gave him a ten-minute narration, and he got the complete idea of the character, that he becomes an inspiration for his friends, ultimately ruining their lives. The idea was to portray a funny, badmaash character that the audience should laugh at and not hate him, even though his deeds were villainous.”
“He caught the right andaaz where he came across as lovable on screen, though his actions in the film were deplorable. In Ready, too, he had to bring a certain innocence to the role and get the comic timing right, which he did fabulously. As a writer, I can’t think of any character that Bhai cannot pull off,” he said.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan turned 60 on December 27 and celebrated with a grand, private bash at his Panvel farmhouse. Several prominent Bollywood celebrities attended the birthday bash, making it one of the most talked-about events of the week. Salman’s birthday festivities saw the presence of several A-list celebrities, including Aditya Roy Kapur, Rakul Preet Singh, Huma Qureshi and others.
Adding to the star power, Tabu arrived at the bash, along with former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni, who was accompanied by his wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva. His family members also arrived in full strength. Salman’s parents, Salim Khan and Salma Khan, were also present, making the celebration a deeply personal family affair. Brother Arbaaz Khan was spotted with wife Sshura Khan, while nephews Arhaan Khan and Nirvaan Khan were also seen outside the farmhouse. Sister Arpita Khan attended the celebration with husband Aayush Sharma.
On the work front, Salman Khan was last seen in Sikandar. He is currently shooting for Battle of Galwan. Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, Battle of Galwan promises a powerful portrayal of valour, sacrifice, and resilience, inspired by real-life events. Salman Khan is producing the film under his banner, Salman Khan Films, and the project also stars Chitrangada Singh in a key role.
