In the latest series of controversial White House changes under the Donald Trump administration, the US President installed plaques underneath portraits of Presidents at the White House, using them to
insult and make unfounded claims about some of his predecessors, including Joe Biden and Barack Obama.
The plaques are placed in what the President has dubbed the “Presidential Walk of Fame” — a portrait gallery along the West Wing Colonnade. According to ABC, the White House said that the plaques are penned by Trump himself.

All of the plaques are part of what the White House now calls its “Wall of Fame”, located outside the West Wing. The display features portraits of every US president arranged in chronological order, with one notable exception — Joe Biden.
Instead of offering neutral historical summaries, the plaques are written in pointed and opinionated language and read like Trump’s posts on his social network, TruthSocial.
As per the plaques, Barack Obama is described as “one of the most divisive political figures”, while Ronald Reagan is praised in personal terms, with Trump stating that Reagan “was a fan”.
Meanwhile, with no doubt, Biden’s plaque is among the most caustic one as it reads, “Sleepy Joe was, by far, the worst President in American History.” It further states, “Taking office as a result of the most corrupt election ever seen in the United States.”
In a similar attack on Obama’s presidency, the plaque read, “As President, he passed the highly ineffective ‘Unaffordable’ Care Act, resulting in his party losing control of both Houses of Congress, and the Election of the largest House Republican majority since 1946.”
The plaque describing Bill Clinton also minimises his accomplishments, crediting “Republicans in Congress” for legislative successes during his tenure. Trump’s rivalry with the Clinton family is mentioned.
In fact, the 2016 polls in which President Clinton’s wife, Hillary, lost the Presidency to President Donald Trump is also mentioned.
Several Presidents like Ronald Reagan received praise from Trump: “Known as ‘The Great Communicator,’ he was re-elected in a landslide in 1984, and left office with high approval… He was a fan of President Donald J. Trump long before President Trump’s Historic run for the White House. Likewise, President Trump was a fan of his!”
Trump’s “trolling” is nothing new, but the ridiculing of former presidents comes after he was heavily criticised for his response to the murder of actor-director Rob Reiner and his wife, Michele.
On social media, Trump claimed Reiner died “due to the anger he caused others through his massive, unyielding, and incurable affliction with a mind-crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME”.
