Viralimalai Murugan Temple is a famous temple dedicated to Lord Murugan in Tamil Nadu. It is located on a hilltop about 25 kilometers from Tiruchirappalli. Lord Murugan is the son of Lord Shiva and Goddess
Parvati. The temple is set inside the Viralimalai Peacock Sanctuary and because of this, numerous peacocks roam freely around the area.
Recently, Viralimalai Murugan Temple became the center of attention on social media when a mesmerising video surfaced which was captured by Charunivedida Soundararajan and shared on Instagram. It showed a peacock walking on the temple roof with its feathers fully spread.
When Nature Aligned With The Divine
The video began with the peacock moving gracefully on the temple roof. At one point, it reached the exact spot behind the idol of Lord Murugan. The alignment of the feathers with the statue created a striking image as if a halo surrounded the deity.
What made the sight even more significant was the fact that Lord Murugan himself is depicted as seated on a peacock.
