Kapil Sharma’s Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 is set to return to cinemas after its initial theatrical run was cut short due to strong competition at the box office. The comedy sequel, which released on December
12, struggled to secure screens amid the continued dominance of Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar, prompting the makers to plan a re-release in January 2026.
The film entered theatres a week after Dhurandhar, which opened on December 5 and went on to register record-breaking collections in its first two weeks. As a result, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 faced limited show allocations across multiplexes, affecting its overall visibility and box office momentum.
In an official statement, the makers addressed the situation and confirmed their decision to bring the film back to theatres. “Even with limited screens, Kapil Sharma’s Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 managed to make audiences laugh, entertain and relive the franchise’s charm with its light-hearted comedy and situational humour. Keeping the ongoing excitement of the fans in mind, Producer Mr Ratan Jain has decided to re-release the film once again in January 2026,” the statement read.
Despite the challenges, the film opened with a collection of ₹1.85 crore on its first day. According to Sacnilk, the comedy has so far earned ₹12.31 crore at the Indian box office. The makers believe the re-release will give the film a better chance to connect with audiences in a less crowded release window.
An official release date for the January 2026 re-run is expected to be announced soon.
Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 stars Kapil Sharma in the lead, along with Hira Warina, Ayesha Khan, Tridha Choudhury, Manjot Singh and Parul Gulati. The film is produced by Ratan Jain, Ganesh Jain and Abbas Mustan.
The sequel follows the legacy of the 2015 comedy Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon, which featured Kapil Sharma as Kumar Shiv Ram Kishan, a man married to four women, and starred Varun Sharma, Manjari Fadnis, Simran Kaur Mundi, Sai Lokur and Elli Avram.
