A video from Dubai’s luxury Donatello Hotel has gone viral on social media, showcasing which items in the room guests can keep and take home without any issue. The hotel staff created a reel highlighting
the list of these items, as well as those that should not be taken.
The video, posted on the @donatellohoteldubai Instagram handle, surprised many viewers as it clarified which complimentary gifts are for guests to take home.
The list includes toiletries such as shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, body wash, soap, and mouthwash. Guests can also take the dental kit (toothbrush and toothpaste), shaving kit, shower cap, cotton buds, nail filer, and slippers. These slippers can be worn at home or gifted to others.

Additionally, water bottles, coffee and tea bags, sugar packets, stirrers, pens, and notepads are also for guests to take. Sanitary bags and laundry bags are included too, and in some hotels, mini snacks like chocolates and biscuits are free as well.
However, the staff issued a strict warning regarding items that cannot be taken. These include the TV, remote, telephone, lamp, and clock, as they are hotel property. The safe (locker) is also off-limits; it can be used during the stay but not taken home.
The video also highlighted that taking towels, bedsheets, pillow covers, or blankets will be considered theft. Guests are also prohibited from taking spoons, glasses, plates, or cups from the dining area, as well as electronic items like hair dryers and irons.
